Every new Ford Connected Vehicle is fitted with an Embedded Modem called FordPass Connect. When you pair and activate your vehicle in the FordPass App, you can connect with your vehicle remotely1.
Use the FordPass App on your smartphone to locate your vehicle2, lock and unlock the doors, and even start3 the engine.
Next Generation Ranger & Everest Connectivity Features
With the launch of Next Generation Ranger and Everest, enjoy even more convenient connectivity features such as Zone Lighting4, Trailer Light Check5 and In Built Connected Navigation6.
Zone Lighting4
Where fitted, Zone Lighting provides a network of lights including headlamps, external mirror puddle lamps and cargo box lamps and/or numberplate lamps that work together or as 4 individual zones to illuminate the perimeter of the vehicle.
Trailer Light Check5
Allows you to easily check if your trailer lights are working through a sequence of light activations that can be controlled via SYNC4 or through the FordPass app.
In Built Connected Satellite Navigation6
On selected models, connected Built-In Satellite Navigation can help keep you informed with real-time traffic information, for more advanced route planning; plus, access to a host of additional information such as latest weather updates, fuel pricing and parking availability. Ford offers Connected Built In Satellite Navigation for a period of 1 year, after which time the service may cease to be available, or may be subject to a subscription fee.
Other Connectivity Features
Remote Start3
Minutes before leaving, you can start your connected vehicle’s engine from your mobile device in order to heat or cool the cabin to the last known temperature setting.
Remote Lock/Unlock
Conveniently use your mobile device to make sure your doors are locked or unlocked without being anywhere near your vehicle.
Vehicle Status
Check key variables such as fuel level and odometer on the FordPass App to help plan your journey.
Vehicle Health Alerts
The FordPass App capability extends to Vehicle Health Alerts, which can be sent directly to your mobile device, pre-empting service needs and general maintenance such as low washer fluid.
Vehicle Locator2
Check your vehicle’s exact location in the FordPass App, which is particularly useful if you share your vehicle with one or more members of your household or if you have forgotten where you parked it.

Model Eligibility
The following model year releases are equipped with a FordPass Connect embedded modem:
- 2020.75MY and subsequent releases on Ranger, Ranger Raptor, Everest, Escape, Puma, Focus, Focus ST and Fiesta ST.
- 2020.5MY and subsequent releases on the entire Transit Commercial Range
- 2021.5MY and subsequent releases on Mustang
Enhanced connectivity features such as Zone Lighting4, Trailer Light Check5 and Connected Built In Satellite Navigation6 are available on selected Next Gen Ranger and Everest models (see disclaimers for availability on models)

[1] Use of FordPass is subject to the FordPass Terms and Privacy Policy available on ford.com.au/FordPass and requires a compatible mobile device, internet access and software (including software updates from time to time). FordPass functionality and appearance may change over time due to software updates. You are responsible for internet access, mobile network data and voice call services required for your use of the FordPass App on your mobile device, including associated fees. The FordPass App and FordPass Connect modem can only work when both are connected to the telecommunications network. The FordPass Connect modem will only function on the 3G or 4G telecommunications networks. When these networks are no longer available, the modem will stop functioning and the connected services and all data transmission via the modem will cease. Ford cannot guarantee that FordPass will be in fully operating condition at all times and the FordPass App may be unavailable or particular FordPass services interrupted. Not available on Ranger XL, XLS, XLT 4x2 or XLT Chassis Cab and Everest Ambiente and Trend 4x2. Zone Lighting will not operate if battery charge is insufficient. The length of time that Zone Lighting will operate depends on the battery charge, the types of lights fitted to the vehicle (LED or Bulb) and other electrical loads connected to the vehicle. The system will automatically turn off after a period of time to preserve the battery's engine starting performance.
[5] Trailer Light Check is standard on Ranger XLT, Sport, Wildtrak and Raptor. Optional as part of a pack at additional cost on Ranger XL and XLS and all Everest variants. Trailer Light Check has been designed to operate with a Factory Fit Tow Bar or Genuine Ford Accessory tow bar and can be used via SYNC, or via FordPass app as a Connected Service. Where used via the app as a Connected Service, eligible vehicles receive 1 year of service from the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty start date after which time, the Connected Service may cease to be available, or may be subject to a subscription fee. Users must have created a FordPass App account (terms apply) and have fully activated the vehicle’s FordPass Connect modem to use this feature via the app.
[6] Connected Built-In Satellite Navigation is a Connected Service where eligible vehicles receive 1 year of service from the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty start date. Standard on all Everest variants, Ranger XLT, Sport, Wildtrak and Raptor. Optional as part of a pack at additional cost on Ranger XLS. Not available on Ranger XL. Users must have created a FordPass App account (terms apply), have fully activated the vehicle’s FordPass Connect modem and have SYNC Location set to ‘on’ to use this feature.
