The All-New Ford Bronco Basecamp is Coming to Australia

Adventure is going electric. The All-New 2027 Ford Bronco Basecamp has been revealed and is set to arrive in Australian showrooms from the second half of 2027.

As the first Bronco product to arrive in Australia, Bronco Basecamp brings together iconic Bronco design, all-wheel-drive capability and an all-new electrified powertrain – all built around one idea: your vehicle shouldn’t just get you to the adventure, it should be part of it.

Built from the campsite out

Bronco Basecamp has been designed as a true mobile campsite, with clever features that make getting away easier:

Electric driving, with extra range when you need it

The Ford Bronco Basecamp introduces a new powertrain to Ford Australia, a super hybrid powertrain, also known as an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV).

The EREV is a plug-in hybrid system that combines electric driving with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Unlike a traditional plug-in hybrid, the Bronco Basecamp is driven by its electric motors, while its 1.5L petrol engine acts as an onboard generator to produce electricity, recharge the battery and extend the vehicle’s driving range.

This means drivers can enjoy electric driving for shorter commutes, while the onboard range extender provides additional confidence on longer trips as the battery depletes.
